EPLANT-Piping V2023.0 - License Type Setup

After installing EPLANT-Piping, default License Type is Web License.

If the license uses a hardlock, the system must be setup opening the Data Base module, select the System Setup option in the File menu and then select License Type button: check the Hardlock option and connect the hardlock to your computer. Only the HARDkey model is supported: old Sentinel hardlocks are no longer supported.

No driver installation is required in either case, but in case of a Web License, the EPLANT Web License Manager must be executed in order to Activate the license in the user machine, unless the Web License has been already activated from another EPLANT module in the same machine:

Executing this program, the following window opens:

To Activate a Web License, follow the sequence below:

• License File Select the License Serial Number file using the Select EPLANT Web License Serial Number file button.
• Register and Activate the License Selecting the License File will enable the Register and Activate License button. Selecting this button the License Manager will connect to the EPLANT License Server to validate the Activation Request. If the validation is ok a confirmation email will be sent to the email account linked to that license, to make sure of the User Identity:
  

  

• Confirmation email Open the email you had received and select the link inside it to complete the Activation Request. A new window should be open in your internet browser informing the Activation Request Status, like this one:
  

  

• Move the License In case the license was previously activated in another computer, to Move it to a new one, simply repeat the Registration and Activation process in the new computer. In this case, a windows like this one will open warning about the Current License Status:
  Select the Continue Registering .. button to Register and Activate that license in the current machine.
  

  

To Verify a Web License, select the Verify License in the upper radio button. This will enable the Verify EPLANT Web License button. Selecting it the License will be verified:

The License Type defined in the System Setup is considered a Default value. It is possible to redefine the License Type for each machine using the corresponding option in the EPLANT Client (ep_client.exe in the main installation folder). In this way it is possible to have in the same EPLANT installation a mixed license types:
