EPLANT-Piping V2013.0

Documentation of changes with respect V2012.0

Listed below are the most important changes of this version with respect to the former 2012.0 one. Current version is compatible with AutoCADŽ from version 2004 up to 2014. Both 32 and 64 bits versions for AutoCAD 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 are compatible with EPLANT-Piping V2013.
Current version is also compatible with ZWCAD+ 2012.

GENERAL UTILITIES

• EPLANT Web License Manager This manager is used to Activate the Web Leasing Licenses that is a new License schema now available. Internet connection is required. Leasing time can be for one month (free Web License for testing) or one year (Production License).

GRAPHIC MODULE

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2012.0 version:

• AutoCADŽ 2014. This EPLANT-Piping version is compatible with the latest 2014 version of AutoCADŽ both 32 and 64 bits. Sentinel Hardlocks are now supported for both AutoCAD 2013 and 64 bits also.
• Polyline Pipes A Pipe segment can now be automatically created selecting an Open 2D or 3D Polyline. No restrictions apply on its shape. The Polyline must be placed in the Line Route Layer of the corresponding Piping Line. This components are considered as any other pipe (or tubing) component with its length equal to the polyline length. Look in the main menu: PD_1 / Pipes / Pipe on Polyline.
• Piping Lines If the project uses the EPLANT-P&ID module, when defining a new Piping Line, changing its name and copying as another line, the new name is checked against the P&ID Line List.
• Piping Line Copy If the project uses the EPLANT-P&ID module, The new Copy from P&ID button allows to select the new piping line name from the EPLANT-P&ID Line List.
• Equipment Name If the project uses the EPLANT-P&ID module, when defining a new Equipment, changing its name and copying as another equipment, the new name is checked against the P&ID Equipment List.
• Spiral New command to automatically generate a 3D Polyline following the shape of a Spiral. This Polyline can be afterward used to generate a Pipe following this shape.
  Look in the main menu: PD_1 / Generic / Generate Spiral Polyline.
• Line Route Elements All commands that interact with Line Routes are now compatible with Line Routes made up of the following Elements: Lines, Arcs, 2D and 3D Poylines.
• Automatic Web Version Checking. Available in the graphic module as well.
• Text Font If the text font associated to a text style that has to be used by a command is not found and the alternate text font defined in the FONTALT system variable is either not defined nor found, the default txt.shx font will be used.
• Purge in Isometric Extraction. Only Isometric Dimension Blocks (ISOD prefix) are purged by default. It can be changed to purge all blocks. In previous versions, all blocks were always purged.
• Error Corrections
  - 2D Plane Extraction Correction of minor errors.
  - Pipe Generation Correction of misaligment error that could arise in very rare cases due to rounding errors.
  - Connection Points Modification Error correction in the Opposite Points modifications.
  - AutoCAD 2013 32 bits Error correction that made impossible to use this platform.
  

DATA BASE MODULE

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2012.0 version:

• System Setup. New option to set License Type to the new Web Leasing License. Available in License Type option. In this case alone, the Data Base Module will not check for a license.
• Data Base Update. No longer displays error messages: they are only sent to the table for information and reporting. This speeds up the uptade process for big dwg models. Errors in the generation of Implicit Welding are now informed also.
• Automatic Web Version Checking. Now compatible with any Operating Sytem.
• Import from CSV. If lowercase field names are detected a warning is issued because the csv file could have been generated from a XLS file, with loss of data.
• Copy a Piping Class. When copying a Piping Class from another project the descriptions in all available languages are copied, not only the Project Language only as before.
• Import Setup from another Project. This new command allows to import the setup from an existing project to the currently open one. The existing project must be of the same version as the installed one.
• Undelete and Pack. The command will inform how many records are marked for delete.
• Error Corrections
  - Insulation During Data Base Update, it will generate an error message when the insulation of and insulated component is not in the Insulation Specification.
  - Manual Material Correction of weight calculation when loading and udating weight for manually loaded materials.
