EPLANT-Piping V2015.1

Documentation of changes with respect V2014.0

Listed below are the most important changes of this version with respect to the former 2014.0 one. Current version is compatible with AutoCADŽ from version 2004 up to 2016.
Current version is also compatible with ZWCAD+ 2012, ZWCAD+ 2014 SP1 and ZWCAD+ 2015 SP2.1.

GENERAL UTILITIES

• EPLANT Web License Manager V2.3 EPLANT Web License schema has been changed with respect to the previous one.
  This manager must be used to Register the License Serial Number in the User Machine. This operation generates the Request License file that has to be sent to your EPLANT Distributor to have the License Activated for you. This manager can also be used to check the License Status.
  Internet connection is required for License Registration, Checking and using EPLANT-Piping with a Web License.
  A free Web License for testing with a duration of one month can be requested.
  Production Licenses has a duration of one year and are paid Licenses.
  Educational Licenses are available for a discout fee. Ask your EPLANT Distributor for details.

GRAPHIC MODULE

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2014.0 version:

• New Web License Schema Look above for details and in the documentation after intalling this version. This licenses are now compatible with any CAD version supported by EPLANT-Piping.
• ZWCAD+ 2015 SP2.1. This EPLANT-Piping version is compatible with the latest ZWCAD+ 2015 version.
• AutoCAD 2016. This EPLANT-Piping version is compatible with the latest AutoCAD 2016 version.
• 2D Plan Generation. This command has been enhanced and produces now flat projections. It is compatible with any EPLANT-Piping and EPLANT-STH primitive solids and also with any 3DSOLID, LINE, CIRCLE, ARC and LWPOLYLINE created with the CAD or included in EPLANT component definition. View orientation is now defined by the orientation of the viewport associated to each view and not as before by the orientation of the prism associated to the view that is only used now as spatial filter.
  The previous version of this command is still available from the command line with the syntax: (pd_cmd "PL_EXT_OLD")
  Annotation Placement and Annotation Update are working in the same way.
• Excentric Truncated Cone. Is now available in Solid representation too.
• Component Characteristics. Recognizes now the 2D projections of EPLANT-STH elements too.
• Trimmed Elbows. The trim angle is now stored as Extended Entity Data avoiding possible interference with Standard names with an hyphen inside.
• Error Corrections
  - Placing Flanges When connecting to a flanged nozzle it does not verify anymore the nozzle piping spec, because nozzle has no associated class.
  - Placing Components In case of sequencially placing the same component on line route a position error whould generated after the first component placed.
  - Spiral Minor error correction to the Spiral Generation command.
  - 2D projections Snapping to a Connection Point on a 2D projection identifies correctly the insertion point of the corresponding 3D component.
  - Automatic Notes Correction of an error that misplaced automatic notes in 2D plans when notes were to be placed in Model Space.
  - Truncated Cones These elements are processed during 2D Plan Extraction in case of being Equipments elements too. This was corrected from V2014.3.
  - Web License Current Date is now the license server date and does not depend from an external site. This has been modified in V2015.1.
  - Pipe to Pipe There was a false warning involving the piping class, although the pipe was placed without any error. This has been fixed in V2015.1.

DATA BASE MODULE

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2014.0 version:

• Free License. From this version on, the data base module will not require a license to work. That means that also the limited Evaluation Version will be able to use it without any limitation.
• Project Setup. In the Plan Extraction option there is a new setting to define the default layer name suffix in case of extraction of elements not generated with EPLANT.
• Update Warning. When opening a Project, if the data base is not up to date there is a warning. This has been added in V2015.1.
