EPLANT-Piping V 2006.1

Listed below are the most important changes of this version with respect to the former 2005.0 one. Current version is compatible with AutoCAD from version 2000 up to 2007.

Documentation changes with respect V2005.0

GRAPHIC MODULE

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2005.0 version:

• AutoCAD 2007. This EPLANT-Piping version is compatible with the current 2007 AutoCAD latest version.
• Component data note. Full edit window for CMP notes.
• Horizontal Pipe cut. 3D_CUTH explodes now the 3DFACE and places two pipe cut symbols.
• 2D Plans: Mirror support. Mirror command support for 2D plan extractions.
• 2D Plans: Cut elbow support. Now 2D plan extractions also support cut elbows with arbitrary orientation.
• Iso dimension in mm/imperial. Iso dimension and MTO compatible with new settings for unit mm/imperial. Includes: dimensions, MTO lenghts, elevations, coordinates.
• PDL language with PEi. PDL language extension with new PEi variables for penetration in SW and threaded connections.
• New SOC cylinder primitive. Used for socket graphical representation.
• New PDL definitions. Parametric definitions have been updated with the SOC cylinder primitive to represent the socket for socket welded and threaded connections.
• Gasket with thickness = 0. Joints without gasket set gap = 0 for connected components also.
• Component Stud Table. Specific Component Stud Table. Support knife valve stud and bolts generation. Set by new implicit value 7 in the COD.DBF table.
• Automatic 2D annotations update. Allows to update each viewport of the active Layout.
• Isometric MTO. In the Isometric MTO it is possible to set groups of fields and compact their content eliminating spaces between them. Is also possible to add to each field a prefix, a postfix and a separation character additional to the space separator. There are now two new selectable fields: Weight and External Descrition (this last one read in the External Code table). The Total Weight can also be calculated.
• Isometric Header and Format. The Header and Format files used in isometric and spools are now stored in the project directories ISOE and SPOOLS respectively.
• Line and Equipment Status. New parameter to measure the project advancement. It is defined inside 3D models and can be exported to XLS report files.
• Secondary Diameter Schedule. The Automatic Generation option it generates now the secondary schedule in the 3D model and not only in material requisitions as before.
• Active Line Parameters. In the corresponding dialog box the active parameters are disabled when the Graphic Selection option is selected.
• Copy from Diagrams. The Copy Line and Equipment from process diagrams shows now only those lines/equipments not already definined in the Piping project, and not all the lines/equipments in the diagram lists as before. Line list can now be sorted by unit and area also.
• Automatic dimensioning by two points. Allows to temporarily change the dimension line distance to avoid superposition with the automatic dimensions.
• Error corrections:
  3D Model Material Report. Error correction in 3D Model Material Report in case no piping components are present.
  Stud generation Imp = 4. Error correction when generating stud for components with implicit code = 4.
  English messages. Error correction in messages and help text for English.
  BE and PL ends. Error correction for implicit welding code generation when using BE and PL ends.
  ACAD.LSP for AutoCAD 2006. New version of ACAD.LSP for better compatibility with Acad 2006: error correction for Acad 2004.
  2D Plans: flanges double line. Error correction for 2D plan extraction of double line flanges.
  Layer Spools. Error correction for spool layers when spools are not extracted.
  Curved Pipe. Error correction in Curved Pipe alignment.
  Snap to XREF. Error correction for opposite points when snapping to a xref.
  Iso Coordinates. Error correction in iso coordinate orientation.
  Secondary Rating. Now correctly generates the implicit elements associated to the secondary diameter for components having two different ratings.
  Iso position. Error correction in iso origin.
  Snap to a flange. Error correction when generating a reduction inserted by the secondary point.
  

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2006.0 version:

• Extended syntax in PDL language. Now supports new sintax for reading dimensional parameters: SER=2 and SCH=2 to use Secondary Rating or Schedule when reading in the dimensional table.
• Piping Class Verification. Error correction for the Secundary Schedule for reductions and temporary disabling of OSNAP settings during component reconstruction.
• Component Rotate Axis command. Now supports OLET class with angle different than 90 degrees.
• Line Number command. Error correction during query to Line or Equipment inside an XREF drawing file.
• Isometric File Name. Adds sheet number to the end of the isometric file name only if the Automatic Sheet Cut option is checked. Extended syntax in Isometric File Name: now accepts arbitrary text between &&.
• Lines/Equipments layers ON/OFF. Error correction in case of many attached XREF files.
• Manual Pipe Generation between Flanges. Error correction.
• Reduction Generation against Flange by secondary diameter. Error correction.
• New Components. GAX=Gate Valve with Extended Body (class OLET), GAW=variation of GAX (class VALVE), ORK=Orifice Plate + Flanges Kit (class PLATE), PAL=Reinforcing Pad 45, PAD=Reinforcing Pad (redefinition)
• Lines/Equipments Unique Name. Error correction in case of similar file names.

DATA BASE MODULE

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2005.0 version:

• Area subdivision for Requisitions. New area subdivision by models/lines for separated Material Requisitions generation.
• Export to FOXPRO DBF. Export utility to FOXPRO DBF to generate DBF compatible with Excel and Access.
• Compact DBF table. New option to pack an arbitrary DBF table.
• PUMA Interface. New option to import specifications from the PUMA system (www.cla-it.com) to EPLANT-Piping and to export MTO to the same system.
• External Weight. Component weight can now also be read from the External Code table, as an alternative to read it from the EPLANT tables.
• 3D Models Material Report enabled. Allows to Enable/Disable the Material Report in 3D Models, to disable the data base update if not required.
• Out of Specification enabled. Allows to Enable/Disable the possibility to generate Piping Components Out of Specification.
• Decimal Places in MTO. Allows to set decimal places in dimensions for different objects in isometric MTOs.
• Error corrections:
  Manual Material. Error correction in component code menu in data base command.
  English messages. Error correction in messages and help text for English.

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2006.0 version:

• Isometric File Name. Adds sheet number to the end of the isometric file name only if the Automatic Sheet Cut option is checked. Extended syntax in Isometric File Name: now accepts arbitrary text between &&. Error correction in isometric name in case of incomplete line name format.
• New Totalization. Error correction during insulation generation.
