EPLANT-Piping V 2007.0
Listed below are the most important changes of this version with respect to the
former 2006.1 one. Current version is compatible with ActoCAD from version 2000 up to 2008.

GRAPHIC MODULE
It contains the following changes with respect to the 2006.1 version:
- AutoCAD 2008. This EPLANT-Piping version is compatible with the current 2008
AutoCAD latest version.
- Isometric Extraction / Connectivity Check. Performance for big models
(more than 1000 piping lines) has been increased.
- Isometric Cut. The isometric can be manually divided in several sheets
inserting the Isometric Cut symbol in the required position in the 3D piping model.
- Isometric MTO.
It allows to optimize the tag position searching for a clear space around each component
symbol. It allows to group gasket and stud tags with the corresponding component tag.
Reference lines can be radial or point to quadrant. Cleans information from added points
in 3D model if any.
- Components with Rotating Parts. Components can have a graphic representation
depending of angles introduced as dimensional parameters. These components need a dynamic
isometric symbol definition via a PDL script file.
- Project Dimensional Catalogs. The dimensional catalogs and all component
definition files can now be project dependent and not shared among different projects.
Both options are supported.
- Line/Class/Operator. The maximum Line Name lenght goes from 25 to 35
characters. The Piping Class from 6 to 9. The Operator Component Code in piping classes
from 4 to 6 charaters. The dimensional tables associated to valve operators take now the
full declared code and not only the first 3 charaters as any other components.
- Extended syntax in PDL language. Now supports new sintax for reading
dimensional parameters: SER=2 and SCH=2 to use Secondary Rating or Schedule
when reading in the dimensional table.
- Coordenates Annotation. Two text line can now be used as a new option.
- Vertical Axis Reference. This new command can write in a 3D component a
reference with respect a vertical axis. In the isometric this reference will be
automatically dimensioned.
- DWG Cleaning. New automatic cleaning options to remove conflicting information
from drawing files.
- Export to Navisworks. New command to export 3D models to Navisworks with
both dwg graphics and material properties.
- Export to PDMS. New command to export 3D models from EPLANT format to PDMS
format. Used with the EPLANT-PDMS Converter.
- Component Rotate Axis command. Now supports OLET class with angle
different than 90 degrees.
- Piping Class Verification. Error correction for the Secundary Schedule
for reductions and temporary disabling of OSNAP settings during component
reconstruction.
- Line Number command. Error correction during query to Line or Equipment
inside an XREF drawing file.
- Isometric File Name. Adds sheet number to the end of the isometric file name
only if the Automatic Sheet Cut option is checked. Extended syntax in Isometric
File Name: now accepts arbitrary text between &&.
- Lines/Equipments layers ON/OFF. Error correction in case of many
attached XREF files.
- Manual Pipe Generation between Flanges. Error correction.
- Reduction Generation against Flange by secondary diameter. Error correction.
- Lines/Equipments Unique Name. Error correction in case of similar file names.
- Isometric Extraction. Now really uses project Header and Format dwg files.
- mm to inches. Error correction for negative numbers and rounding for 1/32.
- New Components. GAX=Gate Valve with Extended Body (class OLET),
GAW=variation of GAX (class VALVE), ORK=Orifice Plate + Flanges Kit (class
PLATE), PAL=Reinforcing Pad 45, PAD=Reinforcing Pad (redefinition).
LJA= Backing Ring (class FLANGE), LJB= Special
Backing Ring (class FLANGE), TEM= Asimmetric Strigth Tee (class BRANCH),
BRS= Brake Away Spool (class G_FIT), NSP= Spray Nozzle (class ELBOW),
CUT= Isometric Cut (class SYMBOL), ISP= Sample Point (class P_TIP),
PRV= Pression Reducing Valve (class VALVE), SV*= Sanitary valves.
DATA BASE MODULE
It contains the following changes with respect to the 2006.1 version:
- Material Filtering in Requisitions. The Materials can be automatically
filtered using the Line Status for each piping line, to avoid computing material
belonging to lines not yet approved.
- Totalization Key in Requisitions. New option to separate materials also by
piping class.
- Copy All Piping Classes. New option to copy all piping classes of another
project in Piping Specification Utilities.
- New Filter. New filter option in all reports.
- Material Reports. List and Total with condition options generate now the
report in a text file, with a format easily modifiable.
- Equipment Nozzles. The Nozzle table contains now the coordinates of the
origin point and the rotation angle with respect the global WCS vertical axis.
- Joint Codes. This option in the LINES menu has been changed to be able to
browse and report the Joint Codes generated in the 3D models.
