EPLANT-Piping V 2011.0

Documentation of changes with respect V2010.0

Listed below are the most important changes of this version with respect to the former 2010.0 one. Current version is compatible with AutoCADŽ from version 2000 up to 2012. Both 32 and 64 bits versions for AutoCAD 2010, 2011 and 2012 are compatible with EPLANT-Piping V2011.

UTILITIES

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2010.0 version:

• Ep_Client.exe New version. It is disabled in Vista or higher Operating System.
• Ep_Client_w7.exe New EPLANT Client to be used in Vista or higher Operating System.

GRAPHIC MODULE

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2010.0 version:

• AutoCADŽ 2012. This EPLANT-Piping version is compatible with the latest 2011 version of AutoCADŽ both 32 and 64 bits.
• Parametric Definition Files (PDL) Reading Dimensional Tables has been simplified due to a Format change in Dimensional Tables. The search key is automatically built based on the DBF file structure, with no need of an explicit declaration in the PDL file. The same pdl file can be used by different components.
• Branch Tables Selecting the new menu option: PD_1 / Branch / Branch Table, the selection of the component that will be placed in a branch connection is automatically driven by the Branch Table corresponding to the Piping Specification in use. If the mandatory checking of the Branch Tabes is enabled, only allowed components can be placed, also manually. A sequence of more than one component and more than one option can be specified for a given diameter combination.
• Pipe to Pipe In Pipe to Pipe connections, both the first and the second end can be conected to another pipe as branch. The branch table is also supported.
• Component Rotate Axis It allows now to rotate a set of components around the axis of the first selected one.
• End and Distance Both the reference and the selected point on axis are now correctly shown using a cross drawn over the screen. It is now possible to set a vertical displacement or slope.
• Dialog Boxes Memory Windows used as dialog boxes during component placement remember their last position when called again.
• x64 Operating Systems The Local Hardkey hardlock is now compatible also with x64 bits Operating Systems.
• Line/Equipment Rebuild A new command allows to regenerate both Line and Equipment definitions that for whatever reason were deleted from the 3D dwg file.
• Iso MTO Dimensional Standard can be excluded from the totalling key. It is the same setting available in Material Requisitions in the Data Base module. The DD fields in stud tables are no longer used.
• Error Corrections
  - End and Distance Modifies as due the distance along the axis using the values of TOP and BOP if enabled.
  - Component Name Recognizes now all elements of a 2D View extraction.
  - Connection Points For components with FACE=1 allows to explicitly set the Opposite Point, instead of setting it to 0,0,0.
  - Iso Auto Dimensioning Error (introduced in V2010.1) correction: the Branch Table was included in the Object Types.

DATA BASE MODULE

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2010.0 version:

• PDL.DBF New system table. It contains data that were in the COD.DBF table before.
• [project]\DBF\[project]LIN.DBF Previous project PDL table renamed to LIN. It is the Project Piping Line table. His alias name is now P_LIN.
• Dimensional Tables The Format of Dimensional and Weight Tables has been changed to simplify the pdl script files workings. Dimensional and Weight tables with the previous format are automatically converted to the new one during installation or anytime after. The former Weight Master tables are no longer used: each table is accessed individually.
• Branch Tables Support New menu when opening Piping Specification with the option to select the Branch Tables associated to each class.
• Piping Specification Utilities New option to manage Branch Tables and some changes in the position of previous options.
• Piping Specification Checking New Branch Tables checking.
• Export to CSV and Import from CSV These are new commands to be used for editing a DBF table with Excel outside EPLANT and reimporting the result into the original DBF table, avoiding the corruption of the DBF file.
• Report Writer VisualFox Report Writer is no longer supported. Reports can be generated to a text or xls file only.
• Project Setup In the Requisition Options there is a new option to eliminate the Standard from the totalization key. This option is honoured both in the data base module and the isometric MTO.
  There is a new option in the General Options 2 to enable the mandatory use of Branch Tables.
  There is a new option in the General Formats to set Separation Characters in CSV Export/Import commands.
• Project Update In case of Project update from a previous version and with a local catalog, all the local system tables are updated as well.
• Project Code The maximum length of the project code is now 10 characters from previous 5.
• Error Corrections
  - Fittings/Flanges Specification Generation Error Correction of the second end that never generated.
  - Shared Tables Intercepts all operations requiring DBF tables not shrared and informs the problem and its solution.
  - Excel not installed During Report Generation to XLS and XLS Flow Tables reading warns if Excel is not installed.
