EPLANT-Piping V2012.0
Documentation of changes with respect V2011.0
Listed below are the most important changes of this version with respect to the
former 2011.0 one. Current version is compatible with AutoCADŽ from version 2000 up to 2013.
Both 32 and 64 bits versions for AutoCAD 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 are compatible with
EPLANT-Piping V2012.
Current version is also compatible with ZWCAD+ 2012.
GRAPHIC MODULE
It contains the following changes with respect to the 2011.0 version:
- ZWCAD+ 2012. This EPLANT-Piping version is compatible with the latest version
of ZWCAD+ 2012.
- AutoCADŽ 2013. This EPLANT-Piping version is compatible with the latest 2013 version
of AutoCADŽ both 32 and 64 bits. Sentinel Hardlocks are not supported for AutoCAD 2013 64 bits.
- MDI Aware EPLANT-Piping is now Multiple Design Interface Aware: more than one
drawing file (of the same project) can be opened in the same AutoCAD or ZWCAD session.
- Piping Lines Verification It is new command, similar to the Piping Class Verification
one, to verify Piping Components against the corresponding Line Definition, with respect to
Piping Class, Insulation Class, Nominal Diameter and Layer.
- Tag Edit During the placement of a piping component having Tag, the command allows
to check the EPLANT_P&ID to import all Tag values corresponding to the line being constructed.
A special Tag button with the same functionality is found now
in the Component Name command.
- Support Structure A new feature allows to create 3D typical models for Support Structures,
place them in the 3D model, link them to the corresponding piping supports and automatically
generate 2D plans for each support structure.
- Curved Pipe New option to define the Second Connection Point using Radius and Angle.
- PCF File Export Can now Include or Exclude piping Supports.
- Log File During Isometric Extractions, PCF File Export, Naviswork Export and
Include 3D Model a Log file can be generated to store all command line messages.
- Line/Equipment Rebuild This command, used in case of Line and/or Equipment
definition loss, is now compatible with existing definitions that will
be left unchanged.
- Insulation The isometric MTO will generate Insulation material if the corresponding
piping component is insulated.
- Include EPLANT 3D Model This command is now compatible with Existing Lines and
Equipments.
- Maximum Project Path It must be less than 190 characters and it is always verified
when opening any drawing file of the project.
- Sentinel Driver In case the License Type is Sentinel, warns if the corresponding
driver is not installed.
- Text Font Files Only allows to change Text Style is the corresponding Font SHX file
is found.
- Error Corrections
Branch on Line Route Placing a Branch component selecting a branch Line Route allows
to specify the secondary diameter anyway.
Highlight During Line or Equipment Highlight there were cases when the whole line
or equipment (or part of them) were not highlighted.
Branch Table If a Branch component is placed Out of Specification, the Branch Table
is never checked although the Project Setup is set for its Mandatory use.
2D Plan Extraction Error correction when processing elbows with only one pipe segment.
Notes Update in 2D Plans Error correction in updating elevation notes.
DATA BASE MODULE
It contains the following changes with respect to the 2011.0 version:
- System Setup. New option to enable automatic checking of the latest available
version to download. Available in Tolerances option.
- Project Setup. New option to enable PDMS compatibility. Insulation options
moved from Material Requisition to General Options 1. New Insulation parameters.
- New PID field in COD.DBF. This new field allows to map each piping component against
the corresponding object class in EPLANT-P&ID symbols. Used to check between EPLANT-Piping objects
and the corresponding ones in EPLANT-P&ID.
- New INSUL field in COD.DBF. This new field contains a parameter used to increase
the overall length of the insulation associated to each component. To use this parameter, the
corresponding option must be set in the Project Setup. Default option will take
the exact component lenght.
- Insulation Specifications. Insulation Specifications have now new fields to
specify Material and Additional Code, both for the insulation and the Lining, if any.
Insulation is generated in the main project material table and not in Requisitions alone as before.
It is possible to generate it in the isometric MTO also.
- Maximum Project Path It must be less than 190 characters and it is always verified
when opening a project.
- Painting Area There is a change in the meaning of the SUP parameter in the COD.DBF
system table: the painting area is now calculated as the external area of the equivalent
pipe having its length equal to the first dimensional parameter or length is pipe.
This value is then multiplied by the SUP coefficient. Result is still in m2.

- Error Corrections
Setup Update In case of Dimensional Catalog by Project, during the actualization from
a previous version checks for the DIAM_GEN.DBF file also. In case of converting local project old format
dimensional tables, does not require choosing code page in case not defined.
Weight In case of Components with DIA_1 = 2 uses Diam2 instead of Diam to read the
weight table.
