EPLANT-P&ID V 2011.0

Documentation changes with respect V2010.0

Listed below are the most important changes of this version with respect to the former 2010.0 one. Current version is compatible with AutoCAD from version 2000 up to 2012. Both 32 and 64 bits versions for AutoCAD 2010, 2011 and are compatible with EPLANT-P&ID V2011.

UTILITIES

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2010.0 version:

• Ep_Client.exe New version. It is disabled in Vista or higher Operating System.
• Ep_Client_w7.exe New EPLANT Client to be used in Vista or higher Operating System.

GRAPHIC MODULE

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2010.0 version:

• AutoCADŽ 2012 This EPLANT-P&ID version is compatible with the latest 2012 version of AutoCADŽ both 32 and 64 bits.
• x64 Operating Systems The Hardkey hardlock is now compatible also with x64 bits Operating Systems.
• Unique Tag In addition to Lines and Equipments now it is possible to check for uniqueness the tags of all objects on the whole project.
• Description Blocks Description Blocks are placed now in a layer name equal to the block name, for Equipment = DES_EQU.
• Attribute Editing The corresponding dialog box displays now a popup menu with the already defined tags in the current drawing or in the whole project according to the project setup. Selection on an element of this menu will copy the selected tag onto each corresponding attributes.

DATA BASE MODULE

It contains the following changes with respect to the 2010.0 version:

• Import Setup from Another Project New command to import the structure of all project tables from another project. The Project Setup can be imported as well.
• Data Base Update There is a new interface to show how many errors are detected during data base automatic update with an included Help with information about how to solve the errors found if any.
• Data Base Propagation. All information contained in the Line and Equipment tables can be automatically propagated to the related component tables. See chapter 5.7 of the User Manual for details.
• System and Project Setup There are new options in the Data Sheet section to allow generating the output files in separate folders, by object code and revision.
• Data Sheets During the generation of data sheets all warning messages are written in a permanent log file.
• Export to CSV and Import from CSV These are new commands to be used for editing a DBF table with Excel outside EPLANT and reimporting the result into the original DBF table, avoiding the corruption of the DBF file. It is mainly intended to work with the PID_DES.DBF and tables DES_ATR.DBF if the user prefer to modify outside the EPLANT interface.
• Report Writer VisualFox Report Writer is no longer supported. Reports can be generated to a text or xls file only. The related System Formats Update was eliminated from the Utilites menu.
• Project Code The maximum length of the project code is now 10 characters from previous 5.
• Error corrections
  - Tables Updating A minor error was corrected when syncronizing project tables from P&IDs.
  - XLS Report The error that prevented the Import from Another Project option has been corrected.
